Key Responsibilities:- Lead the construction process from inception to completion, collaborating closely with a Project Manager.
- Schedule subcontractors and procure materials in accordance with project plans, specifications, and timelines.
- Supervise onsite subcontractors and manage all onsite labor, ensuring effective coordination.
- Work alongside the Project Manager to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Review and clarify subcontracted scopes of work, setting clear expectations and accountability.
- Coordinate the delivery, handling, storage, and placement of materials.
- Oversee quality assurance, compliance with building codes, and inspections.
- Maintain a tidy job site and uphold company presentation standards.
- Implement safety protocols and participate in safety meetings.
- Keep a daily job log documenting project activities, site conditions, and safety measures.
- Maintain open communication with the Project Manager throughout the project lifecycle.
- Engage in weekly site meetings with clients and the design team.
- Assist the Project Manager with monthly budget reconciliation.
- Participate in ongoing project management training and company events.
- Attend end-of-month scorecard reviews with the Director of Construction.
- Contribute to the maintenance of RW company values and culture.
A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in the construction field is essential for this role, specifically in residential homebuilding. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the building process, from earthwork to final inspections.
- 10+ years of practical experience in the residential construction industry, particularly in custom home building and remodeling.
- Proficient in maintaining and adhering to project schedules.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High emotional intelligence with the ability to gauge team dynamics.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, characterized by warmth and approachability.
- Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong drive and productivity levels.
- Able to hold team members accountable and address conflicts directly when necessary.
