Position Overview: We are in search of a strategic and results-oriented Director of Human Resources to spearhead our HR division. This pivotal role is essential for cultivating and sustaining a high-performing, engaged workforce. The successful candidate will possess deep expertise in HR best practices, experience in dynamic environments, and the capability to nurture a constructive workplace culture.

Core Responsibilities:

1. Leadership & Strategic Planning:

  • Formulate and execute HR strategies that align with the overarching business objectives.
  • Provide strategic guidance and leadership to the HR team.
  • Ensure HR initiatives are in harmony with the organization's aims and foster a positive culture.

2. Talent Acquisition & Development:

  • Oversee the recruitment process to attract top-tier talent.
  • Design and implement comprehensive onboarding programs.
  • Establish and manage talent development initiatives to facilitate employee growth.

3. Employee Relations & Engagement:

  • Promote a positive work environment and culture.
  • Address and resolve employee concerns and conflicts.
  • Develop and implement engagement strategies to boost employee satisfaction.

4. Performance Management:

  • Supervise performance appraisal processes.
  • Implement strategies for ongoing performance enhancement.
  • Create metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of HR initiatives.

5. Compliance & Policy Development:

  • Ensure adherence to all employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop and revise HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide counsel on HR legal matters.

6. Change Management:

  • Lead and support organizational change efforts.
  • Ensure effective communication and execution of changes.
  • Formulate strategies to manage resistance and encourage acceptance.

7. HR Operations:

  • Oversee HR operations, including payroll, benefits, and compensation.
  • Leverage HR analytics to drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Continuously enhance HR processes and systems.

8. Health & Safety Oversight:

  • Manage workplace health and safety programs in collaboration with the Safety Officer.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maintain a secure work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR best practices and labor laws.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to cultivate strong relationships and influence at all organizational levels.
  • Strategic thinker with robust problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to adapt swiftly and manage multiple priorities.
