Role Summary

The Second In Command (SIC) operates under the guidance of the Chief Pilot and collaborates closely with the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) during flights. The SIC plays a crucial role in ensuring the secure and effective operation of company aircraft, adhering to Federal Aviation Regulations and company protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct safe and efficient flight operations for domestic assignments in compliance with Part 135 regulations while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Exhibit professionalism and lead the crew effectively.
  • Welcome passengers, assist with seating arrangements, and manage luggage.
  • Deliver passenger briefings and address their inquiries and needs.
  • Follow the responsibilities outlined in company procedure manuals.
  • Maintain a valid first-class medical certificate and inform the company of any medical conditions that may affect flight duties.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

  • Capacity to sit, stand, and walk for extended durations.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions as necessary.
  • Ability to regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 70 pounds.
Dress Code:
  • Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with company standards.
Travel Requirements:
  • Travel is mandatory during rotation periods.
Education and Experience:
  • In-depth knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to Part 135.
  • Comprehensive understanding of FAA, ICAO, and other international flight operation regulations.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal/written, and presentation skills.
  • Computer proficiency for word processing, email, and web-based applications.
  • Attention to detail and teamwork orientation.
  • ATP certification completed.
  • FAA First Class Medical certification.
  • Minimum of 2,000 hours Total Time (Fixed Wing).
  • At least 200 hours of Multi-Engine Time.
  • Valid Passport.
  • Ability to obtain CANPASS authorization for unrestricted travel to/from Canada as a commercial pilot.
  • Appropriate Type Rating.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and compliance with the Anti-Drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program.
  • Authorization to work legally in the United States with two forms of Federal Identification.
  • Completion of a comprehensive background check prior to employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Citation Sovereign.
  • At least 2,500 hours Total Time (Fixed Wing).
