About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Management Director to lead our construction operations team at Lambert's Cable Splicing Company, LLC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and update project documentation to ensure accurate and timely completion of projects.
  • Program task management and coordinate with teams to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Develop and maintain program file systems, both physical and electronic, to ensure easy access to project information.
  • Communicate with customers to obtain project-specific information and ensure stakeholder notification and buy-in.
  • Estimate revenue and customer costs using provided estimating tools and collaborate with teams to develop estimates.
  • Ensure project close-out is completed per company standards and track accruals weekly.
  • Schedule work and crew make-ups with the scheduler for internal and external use.
  • Review invoices from subcontractors to confirm production and accurate accounting.
  • Work with Accounts Receivable and Billing Department to ensure all revenue is accounted for and accurate.
  • Forecast monthly and yearly revenue for each project and program.
  • Create purchase orders and design, review, and estimate take-offs.
  • Collaborate with internal support groups to set up projects in the accounting system.
  • Remove obstacles and empower the operations team to be successful.
  • Continuously monitor project progress, risk, and quality of the customer experience.
  • Manage project-level activities, including critical path monitoring, procurement, resource loading, conflict resolution, and critical path risk identification and mitigation.
  • Proactively identify and resolve potential issues before they become problems.
  • Lead efforts to gather all project-level status to report on project status to all stakeholders.
  • Track change impact and delay impact.
  • Forecast and manage materials to facilitate scheduled work on time and under budget.
Requirements
  • Be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States for this company.
  • Have previous work experience in telecommunications construction in outside plant facilities.
  • Have 3-5 years of experience as a Manager of construction crews.
  • Have extensive knowledge of telecommunications construction requirements.
  • Have 5+ years of experience in delivering Construction Telecommunications services or utility-related industry.
  • Have experience managing contractors and coordinating multi-site construction projects.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be a problem solver and critical thinker.
  • Be driven and self-motivated.
  • Be proficient in MS Office Applications: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Project.
  • Have the ability to work independently on assigned tasks with minimum guidance.
