Operations Management Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Management Director to lead our construction project management team at Lambert's Cable Splicing Company, LLC.
Key Responsibilities- Project Documentation: Develop, maintain, and update project documentation to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
- Task Management: Program task management as assigned by the Manager to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Program File System: Develop and maintain a program file system, both physical and electronic, to ensure efficient access to project information.
- Customer Communication: Contact customers to obtain project-specific information and ensure timely communication.
- Estimating and Forecasting: Estimate revenue and customer costs based on provided estimating tools and work with others to develop estimates.
- Stakeholder Notification: Ensure stakeholder notification and buy-in throughout the project lifecycle.
- Project Close-Out: Complete project close-out per company standards to ensure a smooth transition.
- Accruals and Scheduling: Track accruals weekly and turn in at the end of every week, and schedule work and crew make-ups with the scheduler for internal and external use.
- Invoice Review: Review invoices from subcontractors to confirm production and accurate accounting.
- Revenue and Accounting: Work with Accounts Receivable and Billing Department to ensure all revenue is accounted for and accurate.
- Forecasting and Planning: Forecast month and year for each project and program to ensure accurate planning.
- Purchase Orders: Create purchase orders to ensure timely procurement of materials and services.
- Design and Estimating: Design, review, and estimate take-offs to ensure accurate project planning.
- Project Setup: Work with internal support groups (Finance & Accounting, Billing, etc.) to set up projects in the accounting system.
- Obstacle Removal: Remove obstacles and empower Operations to be successful.
- Project Monitoring: Continuously monitor project progress, risk, and the quality of the customer experience.
- Critical Path Management: Manage project-level activities, including critical path monitoring/alignment, procurement, resource loading/forecasting/conflict resolution, and critical path risk identification/mitigation.
- Issue Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve potential issues before they become problems.
- Project Status Reporting: Lead efforts to gather all project-level status to report on project status to all stakeholders.
- Change and Delay Impact: Be responsible for tracking change impact and delay impact.
- Materials Forecasting: Forecast and manage materials to facilitate scheduled work on time and under budget.
- Age and Authorization: Be 18 years of age or older and authorized to work in the United States for this company.
- Work Experience: Have previous work in telecommunications construction in outside plant facilities and 3-5 years of experience as a Manager of construction crews.
- Knowledge and Skills: Have extensive knowledge of telecommunications construction requirements and 5+ years of experience in delivering Construction Telecommunications services or utility-related industry.
- Contractor Management: Have experience managing contractors and coordinating multi-site construction projects.
- Communication Skills: Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem-Solving: Be a problem solver and critical thinker.
- Self-Motivation: Be driven and self-motivated.
- Technical Skills: Be proficient in MS Office Applications: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Project.
- Independence: Have the ability to work independently on assigned tasks with minimum guidance.
