Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician III to join our team at Strom Aviation. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform regular maintenance on aircraft, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of parts and systems.
  • Project manage maintenance tasks, accurately estimating work time and materials required.
  • Analyze blueprints, drawings, and work orders to troubleshoot and repair complex systems.
  • Ensure proper working condition of mechanical systems before flight.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
  • Inspect and examine engines, wings, propellers, and other parts to identify defects.
  • Consult maintenance manuals and specifications to identify correct operations and specifications for replacements or repairs.
  • Install new parts to replace or repair defective or recalled parts or to enhance the performance of the aircraft.
  • Repair sheet metal as needed.
  • Ensure proper function of engines and operating systems via various tests and tools.
  • Identify and resolve mechanical problems based on visual inspections or reports from pilots or crew.
Requirements
  • Airframe and Powerplant certification by the FAA is required.
  • 7+ years of corporate aircraft experience, with primary aircraft including Citation CJ3, CJ3+, Citation Excel, Citation XLS, Citation Sovereign, Citation X, Challenger 350, and Gulfstream GIV-SP.
  • Extensive knowledge of all aircraft mechanical systems functions and interactions.
  • Thorough working knowledge of all current FAA regulations, IPM, and ATA codes.
  • Prior MRO environment experience is preferred.
  • Prior 135 operations experience is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expert knowledge of aircraft systems, including electrical, hydraulic, and avionics systems.
  • Proven knowledge of advanced tool usage and maintenance, including usage of rig boards and engine rigging.
  • Proven experience in mentoring technicians and the ability to teach in a classroom environment.
  • Thorough and proven knowledge of proper documentation and work order procedures.
  • Expert with technical data, including knowledge of aircraft maintenance manuals, structural repair manuals, component maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives.
