Product Marketing Lead

Concordia Publishing House, the publishing division of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS), is seeking a dedicated Marketing Manager. The successful candidate will align with our mission, demonstrate a passion for publishing, and be committed to effectively marketing our offerings to support the dissemination of the Gospel within congregations and globally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulates, revises, and implements the annual business strategy to meet daily objectives including sales targets, cost management, inventory control, budgeting, and overall impact.
- Facilitates the publishing agenda by crafting financially sound product proposals for approval.
- Analyzes the competitive landscape to strategically position products in the market, identifying potential opportunities.
- Engages in continuous research of relevant market segments, focusing on characteristics, buyer personas, and emerging trends.
- Enhances product impact by optimizing content, cover designs, and titles.
- Supervises and aids in the maintenance and updating of product metadata.
- Conceptualizes and executes promotional initiatives, including seasonal sales and targeted offers.
- Builds and sustains effective collaborations with creative team members to ensure successful product development and marketing within assigned categories.
- Partners with fellow marketing managers, copywriters, and designers to devise marketing strategies aimed at maximizing the launch of new titles and sustaining interest in existing products.
Qualifications:
- Expertise in Product Management, Brand Management, Budgeting, and Strategic Planning.
- Proficient in Business Writing and Adobe InDesign.
- Strong research skills with the ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities.
- Proven leadership capabilities and experience working collaboratively within a team.
- Familiarity with publishing, printing, graphic design, or layout design is advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience in marketing or business, including product management, brand management, data analysis, and budgeting.
