Key Responsibilities:
- Formulates, revises, and implements the annual business strategy to achieve daily objectives, including sales, expenses, inventory management, budgeting, and overall impact.
- Facilitates the publishing strategy by crafting financially sound product proposals for endorsement.
- Analyzes the competitive landscape to effectively position products in the market, identifying potential opportunities.
- Engages in continuous research of relevant market segments, focusing on characteristics, buyer personas, market trends, and more.
- Works to enhance content, cover designs, and titles to maximize product effectiveness.
- Supervises and assists in the maintenance and updating of product metadata.
- Conceptualizes and executes promotional initiatives, including seasonal campaigns, clearance sales, and targeted offers.
- Establishes and nurtures effective collaborations with creative team members to ensure successful product development and marketing within assigned categories.
- Partners with fellow marketing managers, copywriters, and designers to create marketing strategies aimed at maximizing the launch of new titles as well as the promotion of established products.
Qualifications:
- Expertise in Product Management, Brand Management, Budgeting, and Strategic Planning, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong Business Writing skills and familiarity with Adobe InDesign.
- Capability to research and identify market opportunities.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Knowledge in publishing, printing, graphic design, or layout design is advantageous.
- A Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience in marketing/business, encompassing product management, brand management, data analysis, and budgeting.
