Position Title:
E-2 Aircraft Test Specialist
KBR is in search of an E-2-C2 Aircraft Test Specialist to become a vital member of our team.

The selected candidate will operate within a collaborative test squadron environment that includes government, military, contractor, and industry personnel, contributing to flight testing operations.

Job Responsibilities:


This role supports the Air Test and Evaluation Squadron Two Zero (VX-20) E-2C/D developmental testing at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) and will engage actively in E-2 developmental flight evaluations as an Engineering Test Specialist.

The candidate will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that facilitate flight testing, including:
• Development of comprehensive test plans and detailed testing protocols.
• Pre-mission planning and mission briefings.
• Conducting functional checks and engineering test flights.
• Evaluation of simulation devices.
• Data collection during ground and flight evaluations.
• Post-flight collaboration with maintenance and engineering teams.
• Mission debriefing sessions.
• Drafting post-flight reports and identifying deficiencies.
• Participation in technical discussions.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Engineering or a Technical field).
• A minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience.
• At least 1000 flight hours in E-2 and/or C-2 aircraft.
• Previous (required) or current (preferred) designation as a Carrier AEW Plane Commander or C-2A Transport Plane Commander.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment.
• Capability to operate effectively at remote locations without direct supervision.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and similar productivity software.

The candidate must meet physical and training qualifications to provide contract aircrew support, including completion of Navy water survival and aviation physiology training, as well as an annual FAA Class II flight physical.

Most work will be conducted on-site, with some domestic travel required to support flight testing activities.

The selected applicant may undergo a government security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Graduate from U.S. Naval Test Pilot School (TPS), U.S. Air Force TPS, Empire TPS, or EPNER TPS.
• Current or former designation as a NATOPS Instructor Pilot is highly desirable.
• Experience with E-2D and two (2) years of RDT&E flight experience.

Security Clearance Requirement:
• Ability to obtain and maintain a secret-level security clearance.
Contractual requirements will take precedence.
