Role Summary:
Middle River Aerostructure Systems is seeking a skilled Senior Procurement Specialist to join our Actuation & Accessories purchasing team. This role involves managing key supplier relationships to secure optimal contractual terms, pricing, quality, and delivery, while ensuring satisfaction for internal stakeholders.

Essential Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will oversee the complete lifecycle of supplier relationships, which includes:

  • Development of bidder lists
  • Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes
  • Bid analysis and selection
  • Negotiation and preparation of Deal Reviews
  • Contract awards and documentation of the bidding process
  • Purchase Order (PO) release and fulfillment management

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring supplier On-Time Delivery (OTD) and quality metrics
  • Driving supplier recovery planning and execution as necessary
  • Defining and implementing supplier strategies to ensure maximum value, including adherence to delivery schedules and quality standards
  • Leading claim negotiations and special projects as required
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams, including Planning, Engineering, Quality, Programs, Finance, Legal, and Manufacturing
  • Assisting in the ongoing development of procurement best practices
  • Providing guidance to functional managers on supply base processes
  • Supporting the onboarding and training of new team members

Basic Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business, with a minimum of five years of strategic sourcing experience, including RFPs, supplier selection, and contract management. Alternatively, candidates with a high school diploma/GED and at least ten years of relevant experience will be considered.

Desired Qualifications:
A Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred. Experience in procuring source-controlled hardware such as valves, tubing, ducting, and wiring harnesses is advantageous.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, possess strong problem-solving skills, and work independently. Willingness to travel is required. Familiarity with ERP systems (preferably SAP) and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, are essential.
