Full-Time Patient Relations Representative

Gastro Health is a leading gastroenterology multi-specialty group seeking a highly skilled Patient Relations Representative to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring exceptional patient experiences and providing top-notch support to our patients and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answer and route incoming calls, take messages, and send tasks as necessary for all care centers.
  • Schedule, confirm, and cancel office appointments as patients call in.
  • Work on referrals and import demographics from patient portals.
  • Pick up voicemail messages on a daily basis.
  • Verify patients' health plan benefits and obtain authorization, if needed.
  • Assist patients with questions and/or concerns regarding procedures.
  • Request medical records from doctors and hospitals.
  • Call-in new prescriptions and refills and obtain authorization if necessary.
  • Obtain lab results, including stat requests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 2+ years of medical administration experience desired.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
