Job Overview

Nichols Contracting, Inc. is a family-owned and operated construction company seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will assist in the planning, management, and completion of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Project Manager in maintaining project files and performing other duties as assigned.
  • Coordinate project schedule adherence and monitor subcontractor schedules.
  • Assist with the coordination of meeting minutes and documentation.
  • Provide project monthly reports to the Project Manager.
  • Assist with contract administration, permits, change orders, RFI, and submittal tracking.
  • Prepare the general requisition and monitor it through the payment process.
  • Monitor subcontractor work completed compared to their monthly requisitions.
  • Assist with the final punch-list and project close-out documents.
  • Coordinate site activities and report on job progress.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of commercial construction experience or related field.
  • Bachelor's degree required in Construction, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Experience working with contract drawings, subcontracts, contract addendums, specifications, change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
  • Experience using sophisticated project management software, including Procore, P6, Sage, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong interpersonal and writing skills, with a focus on problem-solving.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) experience is required.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to independently ascend and descend stairs.
  • Ability to independently reach, twist, and bend.
  • Ability to independently remain stationary for extended periods.
  • Ability to independently lift up to 30 pounds when required by work assignment.

Salary

The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $100,000, plus performance-based bonus incentives.
