Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Patient Service Coordinator to join our team at Johns Hopkins University. The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and accurate registration and scheduling of patients for clinical appointments
  • Manage patient records, including demographic data, insurance information, and medical history
  • Coordinate patient care, including referrals to specialists and scheduling of laboratory tests and procedures
  • Process patient payments and resolve any billing or insurance-related issues
  • Assist with back-office duties, such as data entry and record-keeping
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure clear understanding of patient needs and care plans
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • One year of customer service experience in a healthcare setting; two years preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance coverage
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. The successful candidate will be required to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and deadlines.
