Job Description

Oracle is seeking a highly skilled Field Support Specialist 3 to join our team. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for providing first-line support to customers and field personnel on-site at customers or remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and networking issues
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues and improve overall customer satisfaction
  • Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all production server hardware
  • Perform system board level repair and fault diagnosis to SLAs
  • Plan and commission new rack positions and participate in the design and commissioning of new whitespaces
  • Install and maintain structured cabling systems

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years of relevant work experience in IT infrastructure support and server administration
  • Strong knowledge of data center design, including electrical and cooling plant operation
  • Basic knowledge of airflow management and rack, stack equipment commissioning
  • Strong structured cabling skills on fiber and copper
  • Systems administration experience with Linux and/or Windows Servers
  • Hardware repair, diagnosis, and break/fix experience
  • Networking fundamentals knowledge, including DNS, TCP/IP, and basic troubleshooting
  • IT hardware concepts knowledge, including RAID, SAN, x86 architecture, SCSI, FC, Ethernet, and iLO

  • A highly competitive salary range of $33.94 to $67.93 per hour, or $70,600 to $141,300 per annum
