Field Service Specialist

TA Instruments is seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our Field Service Organization in the Oregon/Washington Service Territory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides customer service, training, diagnoses and troubleshoots customer problems, assists with parts management issues.
- Repairs, installs, and uses all currently supported instrument models and accessories; gains limited knowledge of applications software; calibrates instruments for efficient performance.
- Prepares a variety of reports, logs and documentation of service and repair activities; prepares service reports for input to the product reliability report; maintains up-to-date manuals, service notes, drawings, and other materials needed for efficiency.
- Establishes and maintains prompt professional communications with customers and internal resources.
- Provides information to customers regarding service products and offerings; optimally sells service products and contracts.
Requirements:
- Associates Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Biology, or other science related field.
- 2+ years experience with installation, performance maintenance, troubleshooting, support and/or end user utilization of scientific instrumentation, preference for previous TA Instruments product suite (DSC, TGA, SDT, TMA, and DMA).
- Ability to perform effective system level troubleshooting.
- Must possess a strong customer focus, interpersonal savvy, and personal sense of integrity and trust.
- Effective time management skills and analytical approach with a strong aim to resolve open issues.
