Job Title: Program Specialist 3

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Specialist 3 to join our team at the Department of Children, Youth, and Families. As a Program Specialist 3, you will play a critical role in managing and administering the Integrated Developmental Evaluation & Assessment (IDEA) tool, as well as the Sexually Aggressive Vulnerable Youth (SAVY) Assessments and the Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, and Expression (SOGIE) Assessment within Green Hill School.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct IDEA assessments with youth entering into Juvenile Rehabilitation, gathering pertinent information from the youth's community providers and families.
  • Validate and analyze the information received from various sources to complete the assessments, and then interpret it before it is entered into the IDEA.
  • Participate in regular QA and IRR meetings and exercises.
  • Participate in all trainings related to assessments and treatment knowledge.
  • Train JR staff on how to administer assessments and use in practice.
Requirements:
  • Six years of experience in the juvenile justice or social service field providing therapeutic or rehabilitation service with clients from diverse backgrounds who have complex needs.
  • OR An Associate's Degree in Social Work, Public Health, Psychology, Mental Health, Healthcare Administration or a related field, AND four years of experience in the juvenile justice or social service field providing therapeutic or rehabilitation services with clients from diverse backgrounds who have complex needs.
  • OR A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Public Health, Psychology, Mental Health, Healthcare Administration or a related field, AND two years of experience in the juvenile justice or social service field providing therapeutic or rehabilitation service with clients from diverse backgrounds who have complex needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of the function of risk and protective factors as the influence juvenile justice involved youth's progress and outcomes.
  • Working knowledge of the Integrated Developmental Evaluation & Assessment (IDEA) tool.
  • Working knowledge of risk and needs assessment tools in relation to adolescent case management.
  • Working knowledge of the Juvenile Rehabilitation Integrated Treatment Model.
  • Working knowledge of evidence-based programs to reduce recidivism.
  • Working knowledge of the Juvenile justice continuum of care.
