Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Associate, Business Development to join our team. This key position will work across all hospitals, divisions, and affiliates associated with Penn Medicine, assisting in the development and execution of the organization's strategic plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the planning and execution of strategic growth initiatives, including comprehensive business assessments, due diligence, negotiations, and closing.
  • Complete valuation analysis and perform rigorous analysis of operational and financial impact of potential transactions.
  • Participate in and prepare for meetings and due diligence sessions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support financial and operational due diligence analysis of business opportunities, identifying and resolving key deal issues.
  • Support AVPs, VPs, and SVPs in developing and presenting executive-level memoranda, presentations, and detailed financial analysis to share with senior leadership.
  • Research, review, and screen potential acquisition and partnership opportunities.
  • Support ad hoc projects and other administrative tasks to enhance the group's infrastructure and connectivity with internal stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree is Required.
  • 4+ years of Progressive and relevant experience, in healthcare or business development functions.
  • 0-1 year Project management experience with demonstrated increase in responsibility and project complexity.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong project analysis, project management (multiple projects simultaneously), problem solving, brainstorming and planning skills required.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical abilities are essential.
  • Experience in engaging care providers with varying roles, including clinical and non-clinical staff.
  • Ability to analyze, diagnose, suggest and implement process change.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in database management, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong financial modeling skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret financial statements.
  • Flexibility to work with short deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of legal agreements, third party reimbursement and revenue models, design/construction needs and processes, and compensation models.
