DuraMark Technologies Inc is seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our digital and screen-printing business by effectively sourcing and procuring raw materials, supplies, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Vendor Management:
    • Identify, evaluate, and select reliable vendors and suppliers based on factors such as quality, pricing, delivery times, and compliance.
    • Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with vendors to ensure cost-effective purchases.
    • Manage vendor relationships, resolving disputes and ensuring timely deliveries.
    • Partner with operations, customer service, and finance to meet all internal and external needs.
    • Evaluate supplier performance and provide feedback to drive better results.
  • Procurement:
    • Plan and execute purchasing strategies to meet production requirements while minimizing costs and risk.
    • Place purchase orders, track orders, and ensure timely receipt of goods.
    • Monitor inventory levels, set reorder points, and reorder supplies as needed.
  • Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, including environmental, health, and safety standards.
    • Maintain accurate records of purchases and vendor information.
    • Conduct regular audits to identify and address any compliance issues.
  • UL Certification Oversight:
    • Keep updated customer-facing documentation on all UL certified constructions.
    • Recommend new products to add to our UL certified constructions based on client needs and specifications.
    • Submit new constructions to UL for new certifications and for required ongoing UL testing.
    • Ensure organization documents all UL label jobs appropriately to meet UL ongoing inspections requirements.
    • Provide ongoing sales and CSR training on UL standards and certifications.
  • Cost Control:
    • Analyze purchasing data to identify opportunities for cost savings and implement strategies to reduce expenses.
    • Explore alternative sources of materials and supplies to optimize pricing and/or improve product performance.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or related experience, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the screen-printing industry.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using purchasing software and systems.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
