Direct Support Professional

At YAI, we are committed to empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live their fullest lives. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to our clients, enabling them to achieve their goals and aspirations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized support and care to clients, promoting their independence and autonomy.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support clients in developing and implementing person-centered plans, tailored to their unique needs and goals.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
- Document client progress and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Basic written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Valid NY State Driver's License may be required depending on the position.
- A competitive hourly rate of $16.50.
