Job Description

Technical Support Specialist 1 Labs

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team at Temple University. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will provide first and second-level technical support to our students, faculty, and staff. You will work closely with other full-time employees to oversee lab operations, supervise student workers, and assist with imaging computers, setting up labs, and investigating new technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to students, faculty, and staff via phone, email, and in-person
  • Assist with lab operations, including supervising student workers and managing lab resources
  • Imaging computers, setting up labs, and investigating new technologies
  • Train students in using specialized resources from an established training program
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least one year of related technical experience
  • PC and Mac hardware and software troubleshooting experience
  • Experience with mobile device troubleshooting and configuration
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 2019/365 and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Intermediate Uniprint troubleshooting and basic understanding of PC and/or Mac imaging and concepts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Equipment loan software
  • Printing management software
