Job Overview

Thew Associates LS, PLLC is a reputable firm specializing in land and hydrographic surveying and mapping services. We are currently looking for dedicated and skilled individuals to join our team as Land Surveying Technicians. This role is essential in delivering a variety of surveying and mapping solutions.

Key Responsibilities

As a Land Surveying Technician, your primary duties will include:

  • Conducting topographic, boundary retracement, construction, and as-built surveys.
  • Performing hydrographic surveys using advanced techniques such as multi- and single-beam acoustic methods.
  • Utilizing terrestrial laser scanning and sUAS (drone) technologies for precise data collection.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A.A.S. in Surveying Technology or B.S. in Surveying Engineering is preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in field surveying.
  • Proficiency with Trimble GPS/GNSS devices and robotic total stations.
  • Experience in static and RTK GPS/GNSS surveys.
  • Knowledge of document research and boundary line reconnaissance.
  • Ability to prepare mapping in an AutoCAD environment, preferably Civil 3D.
Skills and Attributes

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Strong mathematical and computer skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel frequently.

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
