POSITION SUMMARY: The Utah Non Profit Housing Corporation stands as the foremost non-profit entity in Utah dedicated to the development, ownership, and management of affordable housing solutions for individuals and families with very low to low income. As a recognized 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization and a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO), we prioritize the well-being of our residents and the upkeep of our properties.

The Property Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of one or more housing communities under the UNPHC umbrella. This position may require on-site residency, serving as the main liaison between residents and the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage all aspects of property operations, including planning, marketing, leasing, and fiscal management.
  • Supervise on-site staff and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, occupancy rates, and maintenance requests.
  • Conduct regular inspections and address any maintenance issues promptly to prevent further complications.
  • Prepare monthly reports detailing financial expenditures, occupancy status, and resident services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: An associate degree or equivalent experience is required.

Experience: Proven experience in rental property management is essential, with a preference for candidates familiar with HUD and LIHTC properties.

Skills: Proficiency in office technology, including computers and communication systems, is necessary. Experience working with diverse populations and a solid understanding of budgeting and bookkeeping are advantageous.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

  • Assist in the formulation and management of the community's operating budget.
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing and Non-Discrimination regulations.
  • Conduct resident orientations and maintain a low vacancy rate.
  • Oversee the timely collection of rents and manage lease renewals.
  • Engage in community outreach and develop resident services to foster positive relations.
