Job Description

Job Summary:

The Housing Authority of Salt Lake City is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Housing Stabilization Case Manager to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a critical role in providing short-term case management services to families enrolled in our Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Housing grant program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide case management services to families, including completing required forms, setting goals, creating budgets, providing employment leads, and making appropriate referrals.
  • Respond to clients, providers, and community partners, maintaining client files in accordance with required guidelines.
  • Regularly document meetings in our computer database and perform exit assessments accurately for clients leaving the program.
  • Assist with audits, both internal and external, and develop and maintain productive working relationships with partnering agencies, outside organizations, landlords, and service providers in Salt Lake County.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field with at least two years of case management, social work, or similar experience.
  • Ability to work as a team and independently, with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, time-management skills, and motivation to meet deadlines and achieve goals.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to relate and communicate with persons from all socio-economic, ethnic, and racial backgrounds.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
