Position Summary

This full-time role focuses on overseeing the profitability and operational excellence at a premier retail location.

The selected candidate will lead the Guerlain business by managing daily operations and sales within the boutique, providing guidance and support to the team of Sales Beauty Consultants, Ambassadors, and Selling Specialists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee retail sales performance and implement promotional strategies effectively.
  • Manage a team of Beauty Advisors, including responsibilities for hiring, coaching, scheduling, and payroll management.
  • Establish productivity benchmarks based on corporate guidelines and monitor team performance regularly.
  • Ensure all team members are equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to excel in their roles, fostering a culture of best practices.
  • Drive business growth with an entrepreneurial mindset, treating the boutique as if it were your own.
  • Prepare to discuss key performance indicators (KPIs) with executive management and coach the team to understand these metrics.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail management, acting as a liaison between the store and corporate teams.
  • Collaborate with the Account Executive and corporate Education team to identify training needs and enhance product knowledge among staff.
  • Incorporate education into weekly meetings, ensuring all associates engage with training resources.
  • Implement client relationship management guidelines, supporting Beauty Advisors in customer engagement and follow-up.
  • Maintain high standards of merchandising, grooming, and attendance for all team members.
  • Provide training and support for executing special events and client networking opportunities.
  • Conduct regular coaching sessions with team members to discuss performance and client relationships.
  • Monitor KPIs, event performance, and promotional activities, ensuring all reports are submitted timely.
  • Assist retail buyers and planners with inventory management and ordering processes.
  • Perform additional job-related tasks as required.

Supervision

Reports to the Account Executive.

Team Management

Oversees Beauty Advisors, Guerlain Ambassadors, and Selling Specialists.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years in luxury beauty, fragrance, or skincare sales and management.
  • Previous experience in a managerial or training role.
  • Possess a positive, results-driven attitude with an entrepreneurial approach.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build a high-performing team.
  • Analytical skills for effective problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding business operations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Availability to meet business needs.
  • Multilingual abilities are advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
