Your Role
We are seeking a Project Engineer/Manager to oversee and coordinate various projects within the biotechnology manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will have a technical background in engineering, validation processes, quality assurance, and project management, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in the Pharmaceuticals or Biotechnology manufacturing industry is preferred.
The Project Engineer/Manager will:
- Oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and company policies.
- Create project plans, timelines, and budgets, monitoring progress against established milestones.
- Provide clear guidance to project teams through effective written and verbal communication to ensure timely and efficient execution of tasks.
- Develop solutions, define budgetary requirements, secure funding approvals, forecast expenditures, and manage financials.
- Identify and proactively address project risks, developing mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
- Maintain project standards by ensuring compliance with industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Monitor project performance and evaluate the achievement of key objectives.
- Document and communicate project progress to stakeholders.
- Offer technical expertise and support to cross-functional teams.
- Manage high-value, complex projects with urgency and similar requirements.
- Encourage a collaborative and positive team atmosphere.
Requirements
As many of our projects and clients are located in various regions, we value candidates who are flexible and willing to travel as necessary for project assignments and client interactions. The ability to adapt to diverse locations, cultures, and work environments is crucial for effective collaboration with clients and colleagues.
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in a science, technology, or engineering discipline is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in commissioning and qualifying bio-pharmaceutical facilities and equipment or in a GMP manufacturing environment.
- Experience in project management or engineering is preferred.
- PMP certification or equivalent Project Management Certification is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, and Access.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer service-oriented.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience in a Biotechnology manufacturing setting is highly preferred.
