Position Overview:
Universal Engineering Sciences is seeking a Lead Geotechnical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for our expanding operations, where you will leverage your expertise to contribute to a diverse array of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and oversee geotechnical engineering assessments and studies.
- Collaborate closely with clients, including property owners, architects, and other design professionals to ascertain project requirements.
- Develop scopes of service, proposals, and budget forecasts.
- Work in tandem with project management and field personnel to provide technical insights.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and professionals.
- Analyze both field and laboratory data.
- Prepare and evaluate geotechnical engineering documentation.
- Engage in geotechnical plan reviews, business development, and participate in project design and construction meetings as necessary.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- California Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required; Geotechnical Engineer (GE) registration is required or must be obtained within a year.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in geotechnical engineering or a closely related field is preferred.
- Experience with California projects, particularly in educational and healthcare facilities, is highly desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and clients effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- A valid California Driver's License and a clean driving record are required.
- Willingness to assist in business development and outreach to potential clients.
