About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Executive to join our Gaming Marketing Solutions team at Discord. As a founding member of our sales team, you will play a key role in building and growing our new business line.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Needs Identification: Work closely with clients to understand their marketing needs and develop solutions that deliver value against those needs.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute effective sales motions to identify new marketing opportunities with game publishers, studios, and their media agencies.
  • Relationship Building: Build and deepen relationships with key game publishers and their media agencies to drive revenue growth.
  • Negotiation and Closing: Negotiate and close opportunities to meet revenue and account goals.
  • Client Consultation: Consult with clients to advise them on their strategic marketing and media plans and how Discord solutions contribute to their plans.
Requirements
  • Experience: 4 years of direct experience in media buying, brand marketing, digital advertising, and ad sales in the gaming industry.
  • Proven Track Record: Proven experience in delivering against account and revenue goals.
  • Gaming Industry Expertise: Experience in managing gaming clients throughout the funnel with a deep understanding of their challenges and objectives.
  • Relationship Building: Experience in building relationships with top marketing decision-makers at game publishers and their agencies.
  • Data Analysis: Ability to analyze data and identify insights to assess campaign performance.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to proactively troubleshoot and problem-solve quickly and through the proper escalation channels.
  • Marketing and Ad Technology: Experience with marketing and ad technology ecosystem, including ability to collect and convey product needs as well as working cross-functionally to diagnose and solve technical problems for clients.
  • Negotiation and Structuring: Experience in negotiating and structuring standard and non-standard ad-buying agreements.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive total annual target compensation range of $183,350 to $320,850, plus equity and benefits. Our compensation ranges are determined by role and level, and individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
