About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Account Executive to join our Advertising Sales team at U.S. News. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and expanding our Travel-related advertising partnerships within U.S. News Travel, our endemic travel platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build, oversee, and expand a strategic account list, focusing on travel advertisers and agencies.
  • Generate a high volume of sales-related activity, including cold calling, setting up meetings, securing RFPs, and entertaining clients.
  • Attend industry conferences to connect with key clients at scale and expand relationships.
  • Prospect, research, and craft outreaches to secure meetings and RFPs.
  • Foster strategic relationships with clients, gaining an in-depth understanding of their business needs and challenges.
  • Manage client communication, from the first outreach to the RFP process, to leading client meetings and post-campaign follow-ups.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholder teams, including client success, strategy, marketing, product, ad ops, and finance.
  • Become a subject matter expert on the U.S. News brand, audience, and solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and needs.
  • Track performance as it relates to monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals.
Requirements
  • Three years to five years of similar or related experience in the field of digital advertising sales, with a track record of being able to hit and exceed quarterly revenue goals.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience required.
  • A track record of driving new business and developing new advertising partnerships.
  • Established relationships with key Travel advertisers at the brand and agency levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of the digital media landscape, including branded content solutions, technology platforms, and measurement firms.
  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to effectively convey ideas to clients and close deals.
  • Results-oriented mindset with self-motivation.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Time management capabilities and strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Existing relationships with key Travel advertisers at the brand and agency levels.
