Job Title: Technical Support Tech II
Contract: 11 Months

A Technical Support Tech II position is currently available. In this role, you will oversee machine operations and implement necessary adjustments to ensure optimal quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate CNC Machines:
Set up and manage CNC machines to manufacture precision components.
Interpret technical schematics and specifications to guarantee accurate machining.
Monitor machine functions and implement adjustments to uphold quality and efficiency.
Sheet Metal Fabrication:
Operate equipment for sheet metal fabrication, including shears, presses, and brakes.
Perform tasks such as cutting, bending, and shaping sheet metal parts.
Ensure all fabricated components comply with quality standards and specifications.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
Conduct routine maintenance on CNC and sheet metal fabrication machinery.
Diagnose and resolve equipment issues to minimize operational downtime.
Collaborate with the maintenance team for complex repairs and servicing.
Quality Control:
Inspect machined and fabricated components to ensure they meet design specifications and tolerances.
Utilize measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges for quality assessments.
Document and report any discrepancies or non-conformances.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in safety training and contribute to a culture of safety in the workplace.
Collaboration and Support:
Assist in the development and enhancement of machining processes and techniques.
Work closely with engineering and production teams to meet project timelines.
Provide support to other personnel in the machine shop as needed.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in machining or a related field preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience operating CNC machines and/or sheet metal fabrication equipment.
Experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment is highly desirable.
Skills:
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to accurately use precision measuring instruments.
Familiarity with CNC programming and G-code is a plus.
Attributes:
Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
Prolonged periods of standing and working with machinery.
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
