Overview:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machining Specialist to join our team. This role involves operating advanced CNC machinery and engaging in sheet metal fabrication to produce high-quality components.
Key Responsibilities:
CNC Machine Operation:
Set up and manage CNC machines to manufacture precision parts.
Interpret and analyze technical drawings and specifications to guarantee accurate machining processes.
Monitor machine performance and implement adjustments to optimize quality and efficiency.
Sheet Metal Fabrication:
Utilize sheet metal fabrication tools, including shears, presses, and brakes.
Execute tasks such as cutting, bending, and shaping sheet metal components.
Ensure all fabricated items adhere to established quality standards and specifications.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
Conduct routine maintenance on CNC and sheet metal fabrication machinery.
Identify and resolve equipment issues to minimize operational downtime.
Collaborate with the maintenance team for complex repairs and servicing needs.
Quality Assurance:
Inspect machined and fabricated components to confirm compliance with design specifications and tolerances.
Employ measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges for quality assessments.
Document and report any discrepancies or non-conformances found during inspections.
Safety and Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment.
Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in safety training initiatives and promote a culture of safety within the workplace.
Collaboration and Support:
Assist in enhancing machining processes and techniques.
Work closely with engineering and production teams to achieve project milestones.
Provide support to fellow machine shop personnel as required.
Qualifications:
* Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in machining or a related discipline is preferred.
* Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of experience operating CNC machines and/or sheet metal fabrication equipment.
Experience in a manufacturing or machine shop setting is highly advantageous.
* Skills:
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to accurately utilize precision measuring instruments.
Familiarity with CNC programming and G-code is a plus.
* Attributes:
Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Strong communication skills and the capacity to follow instructions effectively.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
Prolonged periods of standing and operating machinery.
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination are essential.
