Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary responder for machine-related issues, performing troubleshooting and diagnostics on all factory equipment, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems. This includes adherence to Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures.
  • Identify problem sources by observing machinery in operation and listening for irregularities.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Manufacturing to assess current and future equipment requirements.
  • Plan, schedule, and execute routine maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment utilized in sheet metal fabrication and heater assembly, including conveyors, forklifts, gearboxes, and pneumatic or hydraulic systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections and monitoring of machinery, tools, and equipment to ensure operational and safety standards are met.
  • Test, examine, and repair machinery, equipment, or components as necessary.
  • Accurately interpret and follow schematic diagrams, blueprints, and sketches.
  • Utilize computer systems to track service needs, document equipment issues, and manage the planned maintenance program.
  • Install new equipment as required, ensuring it is ready for production and complies with all safety regulations.
  • Engage in various welding, fabrication, and machine calibration projects.
  • Operate machine shop tools, including mills, lathes, drill presses, welding, and cutting equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on building structures, grounds, and systems.
  • Assist with general plant and office maintenance tasks, including painting, carpentry, electrical, or plumbing projects as needed.
  • Regularly lift and move items weighing up to 50lbs.
  • Exhibit a willingness to learn new techniques and share knowledge with colleagues.
  • Maintain punctuality for all scheduled shifts; reliable attendance is essential.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery.
  • At least 2 years' experience in welding and metal fabrication.
  • Ability and willingness to work independently and confidently after training on our machinery.
  • Prior experience or knowledge of CNC punching machines, forming presses, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
  • Technical training or certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and machine shop competencies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Capability to create drawings (paper or digital) of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Commitment to a Safety First approach in all tasks.
  • Current forklift certification is preferred but not required.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The full pay range for this position is $32.00 to $38.00 per hour, with starting pay based on relevant experience, education, and training, as well as market and business considerations.

  • Paid time off, including sick leave and holidays.

Work Schedule:

  • This is a full-time position with hours from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime as required.
