Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machining Specialist to operate and maintain precision machining equipment. This role is crucial for producing high-quality components in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • CNC Machine Operation: Set up and run CNC machinery to fabricate precise parts according to technical specifications.
  • Technical Interpretation: Read and understand engineering drawings to ensure accurate production.
  • Monitoring and Adjustments: Oversee machine functions and make necessary modifications to optimize performance and quality.

Sheet Metal Operations:

  • Utilize sheet metal fabrication tools, including shears and presses, to create components.
  • Execute processes such as cutting, bending, and shaping metal sheets to meet design requirements.
  • Ensure all products adhere to established quality benchmarks.

Maintenance Duties:

  • Conduct regular maintenance on CNC and fabrication equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues to reduce downtime.
  • Collaborate with maintenance personnel for complex repairs.

Quality Assurance:

  • Perform inspections on machined and fabricated items to verify compliance with specifications.
  • Employ measuring tools like calipers and micrometers for quality assessments.
  • Document any deviations from quality standards.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Follow all safety regulations to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and industry standards.
  • Engage in safety training initiatives to promote a culture of safety.

Collaboration:

  • Contribute to the enhancement of machining processes and methodologies.
  • Work in conjunction with engineering and production teams to achieve project goals.
  • Provide assistance to fellow machine shop staff as required.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in machining or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years operating CNC machinery and/or sheet metal fabrication tools, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Skills: Proficient in interpreting technical drawings; strong mechanical skills; familiarity with CNC programming and G-code is advantageous.
  • Attributes: Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality; ability to work both independently and collaboratively; effective communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Capability to lift and maneuver heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
  • Ability to stand for extended periods while operating machinery.
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
