We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team at Center for Elders' Independence. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the development and administration of human resources programs to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the development and implementation of human resources programs, policies, and procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to management and employees on employee issues and concerns.
- Communicate and interpret human resource policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Administer compensation programs, including job analysis, market and internal equity reviews, and wage adjustments.
- Investigate and respond to unemployment claims.
- Assess the pulse of the organization to identify opportunities for increased employee engagement and alignment with the organization's mission, vision, and values.
- Perform special projects and other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in business, human resources management, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a generalist human resources role in a complex organization.
- PHR, SHRM CP, or SHRM SCP certification preferred.
- Experience with US and California employment laws and regulations.
- Ability to cultivate effective partnerships and work in collaboration with managers and staff.
- Strong facilitation and coaching skills.
- Ability to work independently and perform a wide variety of assignments that require independent judgment, problem-solving, organization, and prioritization skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of human resources theory and practices.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills and working knowledge of HRIS systems.
