Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to provide administrative support to our HR team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining electronic personnel files, reviewing personnel changes, and coordinating pre-employment background checks. Additionally, they will assist with onboarding new hires, answer employee questions, and process employment verifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic personnel files
  • Review personnel changes in our HRIS system and Learning Management System
  • Coordinate pre-employment background checks and degree verifications
  • Assist with onboarding new hires, including requisitioning equipment and scheduling trainings
  • Answer employee questions regarding payroll, benefits, and HR-related matters
  • Process employment verifications, EDD unemployment insurance, and state disability insurance claims
  • Manage creation, updates, and termination of accounts for county systems
  • Track and maintain various checklists used by the HR team
  • Ensure required legal postings are up to date at all BACS work sites
Requirements
  • AA/AS or higher in business, communications, marketing, or social services discipline required
  • Minimum of one year's work experience in human resources required
  • Social services agency experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams
