Role Overview:

The Better Practice Solutions Team plays a pivotal role in supporting UCLA Health Clinics' mission to provide exceptional patient care. This is achieved through robust reporting and analytics, fostering operational excellence, and ensuring timely and efficient patient care delivery.

As a vital member of the Better Practice Solutions Team, the Analyst will collaborate closely with the Better Practice Solutions Manager to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of clinical operations, focusing on financial sustainability and performance enhancement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison with operational teams and leaders across UCLA Health's Ambulatory Enterprise.
  • Contribute to the implementation of UCLA Health's Ambulatory Strategy by tracking and reporting on operational metrics, including staffing requirements, utilization trends, patient demand, and referral patterns for designated service lines.
  • Utilize analytical skills and operational knowledge to assess access, efficiency, and productivity within UCLA Health practices.
  • Identify areas for improvement and collaborate with leadership to develop, execute, and evaluate performance enhancement plans using various methodologies, including SWOT analysis, PDSA cycles, and Lean principles.

Collaboration with Finance:

This position will work in partnership with FPG Finance to analyze and interpret operational factors influencing financial performance, ensuring the sustainability of clinics and practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, health science, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI (SQL knowledge is a plus).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in project management with a track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present information effectively.
  • Proven ability to build collaborative relationships with peers, physicians, senior executives, and operational leaders.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A service-oriented mindset with the ability to maintain professionalism in challenging situations.

Salary Range: $36.49 - $76.05
