Role Overview:
The Better Practice Solutions Team plays a crucial role in supporting UCLA Health Clinics' commitment to providing exceptional patient care. This is achieved through robust reporting and analytics, fostering operational excellence, and ensuring timely and efficient patient services.

Position Responsibilities:
As a vital member of the Better Practice Solutions Team, the Analyst will collaborate closely with the Better Practice Solutions Manager to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of clinical operations, focusing on financial sustainability and performance enhancement.

The Analyst will act as a liaison with operational teams and leaders across UCLA Health's Ambulatory Enterprise, facilitating communication and collaboration.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and reporting on operational metrics, including staffing requirements, utilization trends, patient demand, and referral patterns for designated service lines.
  • Utilizing analytical skills and operational knowledge to assess access, efficiency, and productivity within UCLA Health practices.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and partnering with leadership to develop and implement performance enhancement strategies using tools such as SWOT analysis, PDSA cycles, and Lean methodologies.

Collaboration with Finance:
This position will work in conjunction with FPG Finance to analyze and interpret operational factors affecting financial performance, ensuring the sustainability of clinics and practices.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, health science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI (SQL experience is a plus).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies.
- Experience in project management and meeting deadlines with accountability.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present information effectively.
- Proven ability to establish collaborative relationships with peers, physicians, senior executives, and operational leaders.
