Position Overview:
A non-profit organization is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support the Property Manager in overseeing building operations. The organization is dedicated to empowering individuals and families to overcome homelessness and poverty, creating a respectful and safe environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in daily property management tasks and supervise reception staff when necessary.
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are upheld across all sites.
  • Prepare various reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual documentation.
  • Maintain knowledge of HUD regulations and ensure compliance with Fair Housing Laws.
  • Coordinate move-out inspections and manage related paperwork.
  • Support leasing processes and assist residents with necessary verifications.
  • Ensure lease files are accurately maintained according to organizational policies.
Financial Oversight:
  • Assist in managing property finances in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of purchase orders and invoices.
  • Oversee the collection and deposit of tenant charges and late fees.
Facilities Management:
  • Assist in maintaining property upkeep and executing preventive maintenance plans.
  • Review work orders and guide maintenance staff as needed.
  • Manage supply inventory and coordinate with maintenance for necessary orders.
  • Schedule turnover functions and verify completion of work orders.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to identify and address issues.
Administrative Duties:
  • Perform general office tasks and participate in required meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED with 3 years of experience in affordable housing management; or an Associate's Degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • LIHTC or Advanced Housing Certification.
  • Experience with HUD and/or PHFA properties and regulations.
  • Familiarity with property management software, such as Yardi.
  • Valid driver's license.

  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative abilities.
  • Ability to engage effectively with diverse individuals.
