Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated professional to manage the loan process for our members, ensuring a seamless experience from application to disbursement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, underwrite, and authorize consumer loan applications for various types of loans, including mortgages and business financing.
  • Assist in the processing of mortgage loans, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
  • Provide financial education and guidance to members and prospective clients.
  • Conduct notary services in accordance with state regulations.
  • Perform quality assurance audits to maintain high standards.
  • Facilitate the opening of new accounts and manage teller transactions as needed.
  • Respond to inquiries via phone and email, providing excellent customer service.
  • Participate in training sessions and business development activities.
  • Execute routine operational tasks efficiently, adhering to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with management and team members to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Engage with members to understand their financial needs and promote relevant products and services.
  • Travel as necessary to meet clients and participate in community outreach events.
  • Educate members on available technology and its benefits.
  • Identify and address potential fraud or risk-related issues.
  • Maintain a customer-centric approach while handling transactions across various systems.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Note: Some weekend and after-hours work may be required based on operational needs.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of one year of customer interaction experience or equivalent qualifications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Flexibility to work according to the credit union's operational requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
  • Knowledge of federal regulations including ECOA, BSA, TILA, and AML compliance.
  • Well-organized and capable of prioritizing tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Good judgment and the ability to seek guidance when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in processing solar loan applications.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Proficiency in using adding machines and computer keyboards.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Team-oriented mindset for collaborative projects.
