As a
Medication Utilization, Formulary, and Policy Specialist for the Commonwealth of Virginia, you will play a vital role in enhancing medication management strategies within the pharmacy sector.

This position is centered on overseeing formulary operations, facilitating medication utilization initiatives, and ensuring effective policy oversight.

The ideal candidate should have a robust background in pharmacy or healthcare, complemented by experience in project oversight and policy formulation.

  • Create and sustain a comprehensive database of Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) Committee actions for both routine and special reports
  • Develop reporting mechanisms for cost-saving measures and quality enhancement projects
  • Generate reports concerning drug shortage management, procurement history, and utilization patterns
  • Assess possibilities for inventory optimization and pricing strategies
  • Implement electronic tracking systems for nonformulary requests and deviations
  • Respond to data inquiries promptly and professionally
  • Carry out other assigned responsibilities as needed
Compensation Range: $39.55 Hourly

Education:
A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, IT, or a related discipline is required.

Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in data analysis or pharmacy data analysis is necessary.

Licensure:
No licensure is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position is primarily sedentary, involving extensive computer usage with occasional travel.
