Position Overview:
Responsible for ensuring the safe and effective utilization of pharmaceuticals by delivering optimal medication selection, dosage regimen formulation, proficient administration, and monitoring of drug therapy within the Medical Center.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Input physician orders into the designated electronic system.
2. Process and verify physician's orders efficiently.
3. Review and assess the preparation of orders by pharmacy assistants/technicians.
4. Provide comprehensive drug information to patients and healthcare professionals within and outside the Medical Center.
5. Adhere to pharmacy practice regulations and standards.
6. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Compensation:
Hourly rate: $83.94

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. required.
Experience: No prior experience necessary.
Licensure: Must possess a valid Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Pharmacy License. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.

Physical Requirements:
Position requires prolonged standing, proficient communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lift, push, or pull as needed.
