CULINARY OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR | ARRIVE MEMPHIS

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a meticulous Culinary Operations Supervisor at ARRIVE Memphis, ready to efficiently manage daily kitchen activities. This essential back-of-house leader will partner with our Corporate Executive Chef to ensure that operations align with the standards of our hotel and dining establishment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee the daily operations of two kitchens.
  • Ensure all pastry and bakery products meet quality standards.
  • Foster the development of the culinary team through training, motivation, and guidance.
  • Maintain consistency in food quality across all kitchen operations.
  • Supervise food presentation to ensure compliance with restaurant standards.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Culinary Team on menu development.
  • Manage labor and food cost targets effectively.
  • Assist with ordering, inventory management, and stock control.
  • Work alongside fellow managers to ensure compliance with labor regulations.
  • Prepare and oversee kitchen schedules to ensure adequate staffing and cleaning processes.
  • Understand and implement operational procedures, including docket management and food labeling.
  • Maintain clear communication with the General Manager and Corporate Culinary Team.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of the menu and be able to describe dish components in detail.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff as needed.
  • Identify and report maintenance issues promptly.
  • Monitor adherence to menu specifications and restaurant standards.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Supervise cleaning schedules and take action as required.
  • Ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Complete tasks promptly to support smooth operations.
  • Adhere to food labeling and temperature control protocols.
  • Support skill development within the team.
  • Participate in hiring and staff development initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory kitchen role within a hotel or restaurant setting.
  • Food Handler Certification is mandatory.
  • Flexible schedule with availability for weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift up to 40 lbs.
