Assistant Culinary Manager - BGCM - Part Time

We are seeking a skilled Assistant Culinary Manager to support our Culinary Director in the kitchen, adhering to established specifications and standards. The ideal candidate will utilize both culinary expertise and leadership abilities to significantly contribute to our guests' satisfaction and overall dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of all food and catering functions.
  • Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently while meeting our high-quality benchmarks.
  • Step in for the Executive Chef in organizing and overseeing food preparation as needed.
  • Proactively address any challenges that arise and manage any difficult situations effectively.
  • Prepare meals that align with guest specifications promptly.
  • Accurately measure ingredients and manage food portions.
  • Ensure adherence to established standards, procedures, and sanitation protocols.
  • Utilize kitchen tools and equipment, including grills, ovens, steamers, and warmers, in food preparation.
  • Oversee kitchen inventory and guarantee that supplies are fresh and of premium quality.
  • Maintain appropriate cooking temperatures and proper food storage practices.
  • Keep the workstation and kitchen equipment clean, organized, and sanitized.
  • Take responsibility for kitchen opening, closing, and other assigned duties as directed by the Executive Chef.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in culinary arts from an accredited institution.
  • Possession of necessary licenses or certifications required by local and state agencies for food production and management.
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional culinary experience or food service management in a high-volume restaurant or hotel kitchen.
  • Demonstrated experience with kitchen equipment and a comprehensive understanding of various cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and sanitation practices.
