Key Responsibilities

This position encompasses various tasks within the kitchen environment, including food preparation, dishwashing, storage management, and serving duties.

Primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  • Serving food in a cafeteria style, ensuring uniform portions for customers, patients, or residents.
  • Cleaning and breaking down the service station as required.
  • Setting up dining areas for service, arranging food and beverages, and replenishing supplies as needed.
  • Returning used trays and dishes to the dishwashing area.
  • Delivering meal trays to patients and communicating their feedback to supervisors or dietitians.
  • Preparing beverages and simple food items in specified quantities.
  • Assisting cooks with food preparation tasks, including measuring and assembling ingredients according to established recipes.
  • Operating and maintaining kitchen equipment, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
  • Performing heavy-duty cleaning tasks in food service areas.
  • Sorting and disposing of food waste and recyclables appropriately.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the needs of the facility.
Work Schedule: As needed, including weekends and holidays.

Position Description/PD#: Culinary Service Associate

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, applicants must demonstrate relevant experience or training that supports their ability to perform the duties outlined.

Physical Requirements: The work is conducted in kitchen settings where high temperatures and humidity levels may be present. Workers must be cautious of potential hazards such as slips and cuts.
