Position Overview:
This role is situated within the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, specifically in the Assistant Secretary for Policy Development and Research.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Grant Oversight Coordinator, your primary duties will include:

  • Management and supervision of the entire grant lifecycle.
  • Negotiating and issuing grant or cooperative agreements.
  • Providing technical assistance related to grants to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Evaluating audit reports concerning grants.
  • Facilitating the closure of grants.

Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria by the closing date of the announcement:

Specialized Experience:
For the GS-13 grade level, candidates must possess at least one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level. This experience should provide the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to effectively fulfill the responsibilities of the position.

Specialized experience for this role is defined as proficiency in all of the following areas:

  • Oversight and management of the grant process.
  • Negotiation and awarding of grants or cooperative agreements.
  • Provision of grant-related technical guidance to stakeholders.
  • Reviewing and analyzing audit reports of grants.
  • Executing the closure process for grants.

Experience may be acquired through public, private sector, or volunteer service. One year of experience is defined as full-time work; part-time work will be considered on a prorated basis.
