Overview:
The Behavioral Economics Group is seeking a meticulous Financial Grants Coordinator to join our Finance and Accounting team. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in grant management and a robust understanding of nonprofit financial practices, ensuring compliance with funding regulations and effective fiscal oversight.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the financial management of grants and contracts, ensuring adherence to funding guidelines and regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
2. Generate comprehensive financial reports for timely submission to funders, contributing to budget development and conducting detailed financial analyses to identify variances.
3. Conduct monthly reconciliations for grants to confirm that all activities align with funder and agency standards.
4. Collaborate with program teams to prepare proposal budgets and modifications, ensuring financial alignment with organizational objectives.
5. Establish and maintain a systematic contract tracking and invoicing process.
6. Organize and maintain documentation, including proposals, agreements, budgets, financial reports, and correspondence with funders.
7. Manage staffing allocations across projects and prepare necessary effort reports.
8. Assist with annual audits and compliance reviews.
9. Stay informed on changes in accounting standards and grant regulations to maintain compliance.
10. Participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant accounting experience, particularly within the nonprofit sector.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong grasp of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Uniform Guidance, and donor compliance, along with a fundamental understanding of nonprofit accounting.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Sage Intacct, Salesforce, and Google Workspace.
