We are seeking a dedicated Technical Support Engineer II to join our dynamic team.

Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Deliver on-site technical support to a primary client, including the installation and repair of company equipment, operating instruments as necessary, and managing laboratory supplies.
  • Evaluate technical documents and reports from clients, collaborating with technical teams to diagnose issues and communicate resolutions and timelines effectively.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of equipment configurations, including hardware, software, consumables, and application updates.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and research and development teams, fostering strong relationships and instilling confidence in our products and services.
  • Surpass customer expectations in service delivery, support, and product quality.
  • Summarize technical issues for engineering teams, participating in root cause analysis and problem-solving initiatives.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific or engineering discipline.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in engineering or technical support, preferably within the biotechnology or capital equipment sectors.
  • Proficient in electro-mechanical assembly, server setups, and troubleshooting instrumentation.
  • Adept at interpreting technical schematics and documentation (including electrical, wiring, fluidic, and mechanical designs).
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Skilled in prototype development from initial designs and schematics.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication abilities.
  • Enthusiastic and adaptable to a fast-paced work environment as part of a dedicated, multidisciplinary team.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, up to 20% of the time, with a valid driver's license required.
At Ultima Genomics, your compensation package includes a competitive hourly wage ranging from $38 to $43, depending on your qualifications and experience.
