Position Overview
As a Senior Software Engineering Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of our cloud-based React/Java applications hosted on AWS.
Your responsibilities extend beyond mere coding; you will be tasked with crafting intuitive and efficient applications tailored for our users. This role requires collaboration at the crossroads of design and technology, enabling the transformation of intricate technical processes into streamlined, user-friendly enterprise solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop enterprise-level web applications utilizing React and Java.
2. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data specialists, front-end and back-end engineers, analysts, DevOps, and technical product owners.
3. Provide technical guidance in system architecture, conduct code reviews, mentor team members, and ensure the delivery of high-quality code.
4. Operate within an agile development framework, engaging with multiple teams while exploring new technologies.
5. Partner with cloud and infrastructure teams to establish and maintain development environments.
6. Coordinate testing efforts with a focus on automation.
7. Work alongside onsite development teams for the planning and execution of project deliverables.
Qualifications Required:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging with all organizational levels.
- Extensive experience in a full-stack developer role, particularly with Java and React.
- Strong grasp of single-page application architecture.
- Proficient in developing REST APIs using Java/Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience in crafting user interfaces with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and HTML.
- In-depth knowledge of database systems, such as Oracle, for effective data management.
- Comprehensive understanding of software development principles and best practices.
- Experience in deploying single-page applications on AWS.
Experience & Education:
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- Proven track record of leading technical teams and nurturing talent within the group.
- Familiarity with onshore/offshore operational models.
- Demonstrated experience in the architecture, design, and development of large-scale enterprise application solutions.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related technical or business field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Industry certifications, such as AWS, are advantageous.
Desired Experience:
- Exposure to OpenShift.
- Experience in the healthcare sector.
- Mentoring and coaching of team members.
Location & Work Hours:
This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours of work per week with expected overlap with US hours as necessary. The role offers flexibility for remote work as needed.
