Job Description

**Job Summary**

GForce Life Sciences is seeking a highly experienced Technical Director of Construction to oversee quality control reviews of design documents and construction submittals for our client's Tarrytown Campus Expansion Project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee quality control reviews of design documents and construction submittals to ensure compliance with industry standards and company requirements.
  • Perform technical reviews of design documents, including drawings and specifications, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality construction documents.
  • Coordinate with external architectural and engineering firms and construction managers to ensure that documents produced are coordinated and detailed correctly.
  • Analyze sequence of trades, construction methods, and logistics plans for constructability.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance checklists for each phase of development of design documents.
  • Develop the technical capabilities of project managers, engineering groups, architects, and subject matter experts in other disciplines.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in pre-construction, constructability reviews of design documents, and construction management.
  • Extensive experience in construction management and technical leadership.
  • Preferred software: Bluebeam Studio, AutoCAD, Revit, SharePoint.
  • Experience leading a team and managing multiple projects.
  • Experience with pharmaceutical R&D facilities.
