JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an Operations Manager for a thriving, family-owned enterprise that has been serving clients for decades.

This role is pivotal in overseeing the management of an independent business unit and is integral to our collaborative corporate culture. The ideal candidate will consistently aim to achieve excellence that aligns with corporate goals. Direct management of staff (including sales, customer service, and administrative functions) will be a primary responsibility of this position.

Essential Technical Skills:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of product environments
  • Familiarity with product and equipment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Outlook
  • General awareness of the internet's evolving role in communication
Key Leadership Qualities:
  • Hands-on leadership is essential
  • Ability to inspire and motivate through example
Effective Communication Skills:
  • Comfortable engaging with all management levels
  • Self-motivated with a knack for identifying and seizing opportunities

  • Formal training in management and leadership
  • Conflict resolution and training are crucial components of this role
  • Budget management
  • P&L accountability, evaluations, and presentations
  • Goal setting, delegation, and follow-up
  • Operating a business unit
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Overseeing Plant and Staff Operations
  • Training and mentoring management and supervisory personnel
  • Ensuring compliance with corporate training and procedural guidelines for all associates
  • Managing various functional areas including Warehouse, Office Administration, Route Distribution, and Outside Sales Departments
  • Accountable for all company assets, including facilities, equipment, fleet, inventory, accounts receivable, monitoring, and collections
  • Customer Service Management
  • Sales and Marketing Oversight
  • Community Engagement
  • Fostering a positive work environment
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Prior management or supervisory experience
  • High energy levels
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening when required
  • Preferred formal education; a four-year degree or a minimum of 3 years' experience in business operations management
