Culinary Operations Manager Opportunity

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Culinary Operations Manager to join our team at Lexington Independents. As a key member of our education team, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the work of employees to ensure efficient and effective food service operations in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement culinary operations strategies to ensure high-quality food service and exceptional customer experience.
  • Supervise and train employees in all aspects of food service and sanitation, ensuring meal services begin on time and meet established standards.
  • Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and labor expenses to optimize profitability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of culinary operations and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of food and supplies.

Requirements:

  • At least one year of prior culinary experience in a quality and high-volume establishment with an emphasis on scratch cooking.
  • Complete knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques, and standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • High-level product knowledge and ability to provide friendly and helpful customer service.
  • Experience supervising a team and managing labor costs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Food Handlers certification.
